Bow Down Or Compete!

Success Story LaPlante Special Olympic Athlete
Lyndon LaPlante

Lyndon LaPlante a true warrior of the word BDOC! (Bow Down or Compete!) and Compete he has.  Lyndon has participated in various sporting events in Special Olympics since he was 8-years old including Power Lifting, Track and Field, Golf, Basketball, Relay, and Shot Put and is active in sporting events outside Special Olympics.  Through Special Olympics Lyndon was able to fulfill a dream of getting to play and scoring a TD for Keller High School Football Team.  October 7, 2005, Lyndon made an epic play when he took a handoff inside the Keller one yard line and ran 99 yards for a touchdown against Richland High School, bringing more than 4,000 fans to their feet; This all happened for Lyndon cause he choose to compete for 4 years instead of bowing down to competition. He attended all practices, meetings, and summer workouts and so Lyndon said to his coach "Put me in Coach."
